In accordance of the Companies Act, 2013, Shipco IT Private Limited has identified and will be focusing on the following CSR activities
Contribution towards Prime Minister's National Relief Fund, a fund set up by the Central Government for assistance to individuals facing distress situations and relief fund
Contribution towards Clean Ganga Fund (CGF) setup by the Central Government for rejuvenation of river Ganga
Eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition, promoting preventive health care including preventive health care and sanitation including contribution to the Swach Bharat Kosh set-up by the Central Government for the promotion of sanitation and making available safe drinking water
Promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects
Promoting gender equality, empowering women, setting up homes and hostels for women and orphans; setting up old age homes, day care centres and such other facilities for senior citizens and measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups
Ensuring environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water including contribution to the Clean Ganga Fund set-up by the Central Government for rejuvenation of river Ganga
Protection of national heritage, alt and culture including restoration of buildings and sites of historical importance and works of art; setting up public libraries; promotion and development of traditional arts and handicrafts
Measures for the benefit of armed forces veterans, war widows and their dependents
Training to promote rural sports, nationally recognised sports, Paralympic sports and Olympic sports
Contribution to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund or any other fund set up by the Central Government for socio-economic development and relief and welfare of the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes, minorities and women
Contributions or funds provided to technology incubators located within academic institutions which are approved by the Central Government
Rural development projects
Slum area development
Contribution to Company registered under section 8 of the Companies Act 2013, or a registered trust or a registered society to carry out CSR activities
The Company will review the sectors from time to time and make additions/deletions/clarifications to the above sectors.
Our CSR activities and development will be headed by the CSR Committee that will be ultimately responsible for the CSR project undertaken.
Role of CSR Committee
In terms of Section 135(3) of the said Act, the CSR Committee shall:
Formulate and recommend to the Board, a CSR Policy and indicating activities to be undertaken
Recommend to the Board CSR activities to be undertaken by the Company as specified in Schedule VII appended to the Act during any financial year
Monitor the CSR Policy of the Company from time to time and ensure its compliance; and
Recommending the amount of expenditure for the CSR activities
Total budget by CSR projects will be decided by the CSR Committee considering the requirements of the Act and availability of funds with the Company.
Amendment of Policy
The CSR Policy/ Structure of the Company may be amended at any time by the Board of the Company on the recommendation of the CSR Committee.
The Director's Report of the Company shall present an outline of the CSR Policy, CSR committee, CSR initiatives undertaken by Company, the amount of funds spent on CSR activities during the financial year and other information as required by the prevailing law.
